Dana Vespoli Nominated for Best Director at 2014 XRCO Awards

Dana Vespoli may be one of the edgiest and most original directors in the adult industry today, but that hasn’t slowed down the accolades from the industry’s mainstream organizations.

She recently won Director of the Year – Non-Feature Release for Girl/Boy (Dana Vespoli/Evil Angel) at the 2014 XBIZ Awards, and in October she was named Best Director – Non-Parody (Editor’s Choice) at the 2013 NightMoves Awards.

Now she is nominated for Best Director (Non-Features) at the 2014 XRCO Awards. 

“While I don’t shoot with these things in mind, it is always a great honor to be considered with such a select group of people,” Dana said. “Whenever you put so much of yourself into something it’s gratifying that other people can find something in it for themselves as well.”

Dana released three movies this month: Mother Lovers Society 10 (Sweetheart Video), Femdom Ass Massacre: Extreme Humiliation (Dana Vespoli/Evil Angel), and last week Lesbian Pussy Worship (Filly Films) was released. Her next release is TS, I Love You (Evil Angel), which comes out next month. It is her first-ever TS movie.

The 30th XRCO Awards will be held April 16 at OHM nightclub at the Hollywood & Highland complex in Hollywood. The show will be hosted by Bonnie Rotten, Ron Jeremy and Julia Ann. For more information go to www.xrco.com.

Sovereign Syre Reuniting With Bailey Blue

Sovereign Syre has several hot shoots in the works, but there may be none she is looking forward to more than this week’s on-camera reunion with Bailey Blue.

The scene will be directed by Aiden Riley for the Dirty Panties series out of Evil Angel/Belladonna Entertainment and will be the second time Sovereign and Bailey have worked together.

“I loved working with Bailey so much on her showcase for Manuel Ferrara that when Aiden asked who I might like to work with she was the first person who came to mind,” Sovereign said. “She has a smoldering sexuality that just gets to me. I would do just about anything with her. She really ignites my passion as a performer.”

That passionate sizzler should be out this fall for fans to enjoy. Another shoot she has coming up if for Dana Vespoli's Lesbian Pussy Worship. Dana and Sovereign work together frequently and seem to bring out the best in each other.

While Sovereign wrapped up her Girls in Heat, which she directed, earlier this summer, she is getting back behind the camera this weekend to shoot a special bonus scene with a performer who is coming out of hiatus. Asked the name of the performer, Sovereign said, “I can’t tell you that right now.” Questioned further, she would not divulge, adding only, “this is someone who people are going to be very excited to see back in front of the camera. I’ll have more on it next week.”

Coming out next week is Dani Loves Girls, a Dani Daniels showcase out of Sweetheart Video. “I think this movie contains one of my best scenes of all time,” Sovereign says. “Dani and I bring everything out of each other. We first worked together two years ago, and as we've matured as performers our scenes have gotten stronger and stronger.  In this scene we really went all out with each other, it's rare to have such a free and easy connection with another performer. Fans of either of us shouldn't miss this.”
