(LONDON, UK) With the UK’s largest awards ceremony, the SHAFTAs , around the corner Television X have announced that 2012 will see the launch of a new honorary Award – The Palm Phwoar! The award, which will recognise lifetime achievement and adult endeavors beyond the call of duty, will be awarded to Ben Dover at a lavish ceremony in the heart of London on Thursday 15th March.

Ben Dover’s career has spanned four decades and across the globe where he is known for his wry humour, comic sidekicks and ‘Gonzo’ style. A pioneer of the handheld camera porn genre, Ben Dover was one of the first signings to Television X when the channel launched back in 1995. He still continues to release films internationally and is one of the most successful UK performers of all time.

Ben Commented: “It’s an honour and a privilege to accept this award from my good friends at Television X. It’s astonishing to think I’ve been in this business for 33 years, and even more astonishing that I’m still working! I guess that kind of makes me the ‘Bruce Forsyth’ of the adult industry, and just like him I see no reason to stop doing what I do – although I promise not to start wearing a wig!!”

2012 sees the third annual ceremony for the Soft and Hard Adult Film and Television Awards, the only one of
its kind in which all the awards are voted on by the general public.

Blvd Distro Goes into Pre-Production of Controversial Parody

(Mission Hills, CA) Boulevard Distribution has begun pre-production on what could be its most controversial film to date—“Pischer, A Lefty’s Legacy” is a first fantasy reenactment video based on the life and times of a famous pitcher. The DVD is inspired by Sandy Koufax, all-star pitcher of the Los Angeles Dodgers and perhaps one of the greatest baseball players of all time. Penned and co-directed by Andy Goode, the title will star Gabriel D’Allasandro, as the embattled ballplayer. Andy Goode will also co-star in the film playing himself. Karsin Knightly is slated to portray an African American ballplayer who is reminiscent of Jackie Robinson and is Pischer’s love interest. And Gunnar Mac, a Boulevard discovery, will portray a certain baseball pitcher who later becomes a great baseball manager, in a sexy softcore scene. The best-kept secret of the film will be the guest narrator, who is only being touted as a surprise guest GAYVN Best Actor Winner from the past.

“This is a film that had to be made,” says Andy Goode, writer, co-director and co-star of the film. “There have been many parodies, but nothing quite like this. Baseball is a man’s man sport and is the perfect backdrop to a sizzling, hot gay movie. ‘Pischer, A Lefty’s Legacy’ will do well and is bound to cause a stir.”

The film will be shot on location in the same city as our beloved Los Angeles Dodgers.  Boulevard plans to release the title during the Pride Los Angeles festivities at the beginning of June, as homage to our city and professional baseball.
