Showing that he is clearly one of the leading directors in the adult industry today, B. Skow has taken the 2015 AVN Awards nominations by storm with an incredible 37 nominations.

His nominations include Director of the Year, Best Director – Feature for These Things We Do and Best Director – Parody for Austin Powers XXX: A Porn Parody.

He also received nominations for 12 best movie releases in 10 categories: Best All-Girl Release, Best Amateur/Pro-Am Release, three times for Best Comedy, Best Celebrity Sex Tape, Best Non-Feature, Best Parody, Best Pro-Am Release, Best Vignette Release, Best Young Girl Release and Best Romance Movie – a collection of nominations that makes him clearly the most successfully diverse director working in the industry today.

"Setting out to create something new is always scary, but knowing that people are watching my movies and liking what I’m doing is so cool,” Skow said. “It’s great to have the freedom to make so many different genres of pornography and I have to thank Dan O’Connell and Moose for that. The nominees for the 2015 XBIZ Awards were announced and director B. Skow landed an outstanding 32 of them.

Skow received four nominations for Director of the Year, five Best Scene noms for performances in five different movies, Feature Movie of the Year, Gonzo Series of the Year, Vignette Release of the Year and Vignette Series of the Year and two for Couples-Themed Release of the Year.

Nearly one-third of his noms were for his controversial feature The Gardener, which was based on the story of Jaycee Dugard, who was kidnapped at 11 in South Lake Tahoe, Skow and Stanley used the framework of the girl’s eight years being held in captivity for their screenplay. The movie brought in nominations for Feature Movie of the Year, Director of the Year – Feature Release, Best Actor (Alec Knight), Best Actress (Jessie Andrews), Best Actress - All-Girl Release IMischa Brooks and Rilynn Rae in Conjoined); Best Scene (Knight and Andrews), Screenplay of the Year (David Stanley), and Best Cinematography (Skow), Best Music (Skow) and Best Editing (Gabrielle Anex).

Other directing noms came in these categories: Director of the Year - Body of Work, Director of the Year - Non-Feature Release: Sexually Explicit 2; Director of the Year – Parody: B. Skow, Austin Powers XXX: A Porn Parody. 

Beautiful New Faces is up for Gonzo Series of the Year; Sexually Explicit 2 for Vignette Release of the Year; Sexually Explicit for Vignette Series of the Year; Proud Parents and These Things We Do for Couples-Themed Release of the Year.

Skow directed six nominees for Best Actor/Best Actress, another for Best Supporting Actor and one for Best Non-Sex Acting Performance. There are also five Best Scene nominations for performances in five movies.

“I am very pleased to have my work recognized,” Skow said. “I felt like I had a very strong year and critics and fans really seemed to agree. It’s great to see that validated so strongly by the XBIZ nominations. They are very much appreciated.”

B. Skow Pushes the Limit With Latest Taboo Tale The Gardener

Director B. Skow tackles yet another taboo topic in his new movie, The Gardener (Skow for Girlfriends) and manages to turn in yet another sexual thriller.

In another story ripped from the newswire, Skow and his writing partner David Stanley came up with a shocking tale that is amazingly sexy. Starring Jessie Andrews, who does her first anal scene in the movie, with Karla Kush, AJ Applegate, Maddy O’Reilly and Nadia Styles.

"It's about a girl who's kidnapped at a young age and kept confined until she was an adult, and about a guy who's obsessed with growing flowers and he was a mental patient,” Skow explained in an interview earlier this summer. “He took it to a limit where he wanted to grow this girl and when she was of age, he wanted to impregnate her and make a perfect baby. It's a really odd sort of thing. It's based on the story of the girl from Northern California, but I didn't want to criticize that person or be rude to that girl, what she went through, so it's totally imaginary. It's me and David going to the ends of my imagination and, you know, we just took the idea of someone doing that and went into their head and tried to make it really insane, and make the sex work for itself.”

Skow not only got Jessie Andrews to do her first anal scene for the movie, but she also gave him the exclusive with a one-year contract that says she won’t do one for anyone else for a year—if ever. Knight does the anal scene with Jessie, who also has a B/B/G and a BJ scene. AJ, Karla and Maddy have a G/G/G scene, and Nadia does a B/B/G with Knight and Lockwood.

The movie also features a very convincingly-crazy Kurt Lockwood, Alec Knight, Bruce Venture and Clover. Hard and soft trailers are now available for The Gardener. The movie will be available Sept. 26.

B. Skow Set to Release 2nd Installation of Beautiful New Faces

Director B. Skow is preparing to release the second volume of his Beautiful New Faces series and already he has news about the third volume.
The first edition of the Beautiful New Faces (Skow for Girlfriends) line received rave reviews. Writing for XCritic, Don Houston gave it a Highly Recommended review, calling it “clear that Skow has another winner on his hands” and “I seriously doubt this is the last we’ll hear of this one as a potential series.”
Over at AdultDVDTalk, Captain Jack—already a fan from the previous incarnation of the series, Brand New Faces—called it a “landmark series” in a glowing write-up last month.

Skow is particularly excited to shoot the third edition since he has signed a contract with the popular starlet Lilly Evans to shoot her first-ever boy/girl scene for the movie.
“Lilly is a really hot performer and I’m thrilled her first boy/girl will be for Beautiful New Faces,” Skow said. “It’s already shaping up to be another really strong edition of what is one of my favorite series to shoot.”
Under terms of the contract Lilly won’t shoot another boy/girl scene for an undisclosed amount of time after Brand New Faces ships.

The second edition will star Keisha Grey, Belle Noir, Chloe Amour, Daisy Marie, Michael Vegas, Bruce Venture, Kurt Lockwood and Clover. Keisha is on the cover. It releases July 22 through Girlfriends Films.
Skow’s movie Daddy’s Girls is the first feature film to ever be made available on Kink.com and the results have been fantastic—the movie has proven very popular with the Kink audience and Skow is connecting with audience that may not have had come across his movie through the more traditional outlets.
